Scuba Diving for Varuna

Diving has been such an important part of my life and a major inspiration for Varuna. The idea for the story first started taking shape while on a dive in Komodo National Park in Indonesia. I took these photos with my Nikonis and a 35mm lens. One of the main characters, Ethan still uses in outdated 35mm.

This is one of my favorite photos because of the contrast between the ghostly hammerhead in the background and the bright yellow Moorish idol in the front.
