A year after leading a climbing expedition that ended in tragedy, wildlife filmmaker and Explorer Ethan Dayne is given a second chance when the World Biodiversity Organization asks him to lead an expedition to film a documentary about the threat illegal commercial fishing poses to some of the world’s most pristine reefs. When their chartered dive boat hits a reef and begins to sink off the shore of a remote group of islands in Southeastern Indonesia, Ethan discovers that the boat’s captain has smuggled aboard several million dollars of heroin. Finding himself once again in a battle for survival, Ethan and his team are washed ashore on a small uninhabited island. As Ethan and his dive master Addie Lee struggle to lead the team across the heavily forested island, they discover that the criminal organization trying to recover their merchandise isn’t the only thing that is hunting them.
